About AthenaEd

Based in Gainesville, Florida, USA, Athena focuses on two major product areas: (1) semiconductor intellectual property (IP) technologies and (2) K-16 educational technologies for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Founded in 1986, Athena’s Semiconductor Division (www.athena-group.com) innovates breakthrough technologies that achieve the optimum balance of power, performance, and silicon area in a wide range of signal processing applications such as wireless, satellite, and secure communications. Athena provides patented semiconductor IP solutions, with products ranging from the market-leading TeraFire® security cores, to Atomic DSP™ cores, and Atomic SDR™ software defined radio cores.

Recognizing the need to support STEM education to prepare tomorrow’s engineering workforce, Athena founded its Educational Division (www.AthenaEd.com) during the late 1990s. Since then, AthenaEd has created cutting-edge, pedagogically sound simulations and technology for K-16 STEM students and teachers. AthenaEd boasts a suite of simulations and podcasts available to students and teachers via the web and other mobile platforms.
